Anxious time for Whelan family with killer due for parole

The brother of a Kilkenny woman killed along with her 2 daughters on Christmas Day in 2008 says not a day goes by that they don’t think of them.

The bodies of Sharon Whelan and her daughters Nadia and Zara were discovered following a fire at their home in Windgap.

The man convicted of their murders is due for parole shortly although its fully expected he will not be granted release.

Sharons brother John Whelan who is chairman of the victims support group Advic says its still an anxious time for him and his family.
