Bag thief strikes in Co Kilkenny town

An opportunistic bag thief has struck in Callan.

It happened at Bridge Street in Callen last Saturday night, sometime between
6:30pm and 7pm.

Sargent Conor Egan says “the injured party, in this instance, was
a young person. They were holding their gym bag on the street at Bridge Street when an
unknown male approached them and snatched the gym bag from their person before running
off.”
