After waiting 16 years for funding for a new sports hall, a local
secondary school will have to wait another week to see if they’re going to get it.
Presentation De la Salle in Bagenalstown applied for the new building back as far as 1999 and with the visit of the Education Minister Jan O Sullivan today thought
that they might be given the news they were waiting for.
However Principal Gerry Watchorn says he’s hoping there will be light at
the end of the tunnel next week as a national announcement is to be made possible next Tuesday.
