Body of man discovered in Laois this week may be that of Polish man who had been living in Carlow

It’s believed the body of a man discovered in Laois this week, may be that of a Polish man who had been living in Carlow.

He was found by Coillte workers in Straboe on Tuesday morning.

GardaĆ­ have told KCLR News today they believe the body is that of a young man missing since earlier this year and they have been in contact with the family.

30-year-old Rafal Filipowicz had been living in Carlow but was last seen leaving the hospital in Portlaoise on March 16th this year.

GardaĆ­ say a full identification won’t be possible until the DNA test results are returned.
