Body of man discovered in Laois this week may be that of Polish man who had been living in Carlow

It’s believed the body of a man discovered in Laois this week, may be that of a Polish man who had been living in Carlow.

He was found by Coillte workers in Straboe on Tuesday morning.

Gardaí have told KCLR News today they believe the body is that of a young man missing since earlier this year and they have been in contact with the family.

30-year-old Rafal Filipowicz had been living in Carlow but was last seen leaving the hospital in Portlaoise on March 16th this year.

Gardaí say a full identification won’t be possible until the DNA test results are returned.
