Bridge crossing to be called after Thomastown man

Thomastowns main bridge crossing of the Nore will be called after a local man.
It will known from here on as the Nicholas Mullins Bridge – in memory of Nicholas Mullins who was shot by the British Forces in 1921.
The name was passed at the monthly municipal meeting on Friday.
It’s hoped they’ll be erecting a plaque at next months meeting which is being held in Thomastown.
