Carlow and Kilkenny communities in mourning following deaths of local men

Our local communities are mourning the deaths of two key men.

Carlow College is closed this morning for the funeral of Dr Noel Kavanagh.

The philosophy lecturer, affectionately known as Dr Love, often spoke on KCLR.

While in Kilkenny, solicitor John G Lanigan, has died.

A husband and father, he’s a past president of Kilkenny Solicitors Bar Association and will also be remembered by friends at the local Rugby, Tennis and Rotary clubs.
