Natasha Newsome Drennan has warned that families and workers are being hit hard by rapidly rising fuel prices, with increases continuing day after day.
The Sinn Féin TD says diesel and home heating costs have surged in recent days, with further hikes expected, adding significant difficulties to already stretched household budgets.
She says many people are now struggling to afford basic needs, cutting back on heating and delaying filling their cars.
Deputy Newsome Drennan has criticised the government’s response, saying action has been too slow and is now calling on TDs in Carlow and Kilkenny to support measures aimed at reducing fuel costs and easing the burden those mose vulnerable.
