Carlow Mayor Awards budget to be halved for 2021

The budget for Carlow’s Mayor Awards next year looks set be halved.

The draft budget plan, which was passed by a majority at Carlow’s Municipal District this week will see allocations for the ceremony drop to €3,000.

That’s down from the €6,000 spent on the proceedings this year.

But Mayor Fergal Browne says he’s confident a celebration can still be successfully held.
