Cautious welcome for ‘Study now, pay later’ proposal

A Carlow school principal is giving a cautious welcome to the proposed changes to third level fees.

An expert group has been set up to advise the Government on financing the soaring cost of third level education in Ireland.

The “study now, pay later” system will see students paying for their fees once their income hits a certain level following graduation.
