”The Government needs to take a serious look at the staffing crisis”

That’s the view of Mick Kenny manager with Urlingford Community Childcare Centre.

It comes as the number of creches providing childcare for babies has fallen by 25 per cent over the past three years.

643 childcare providers had baby rooms in 2022, but that’s dropped to 482 this year.

Mr Kenny told KCLR news there’s a few things the Government can look at to rectify this.:
