The cyclist who died following a crash at Newpark Drive has been named locally as Peter Healy.
The 44-year-old father-of-one was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital following an incident involving a bike and truck just after 5.30pm yesterday.
Peter was originally from Dublin but was living in Kilkenny City with his wife and child.
He was a childcare worker with the Newpark Family Resource Centre.
Garda Andy Neil is appealing to anyone that witnessed the crash or was in the area at the time to come forward.
