Clara manager Fintan Deegan is confident his side will respond positively to last weekend’s opening-day defeat to Thomastown in the St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior League.
Clara face Graigue-Ballycallan this Saturday afternoon, with throw-in at 3.30pm in Gowran, as they look to get their campaign up and running.
Deegan, who is in his third year involved with the Clara senior setup, believes the character within the group will ensure they quickly put the opening defeat behind them.
Speaking to KCLR Sport, he said:
“This is my third year involved, being coach and manager. One thing I can say about Clara is they are resilient and they are a good bunch of lads.
“There is no fear we will bounce back. Just have to pull ourselves together and get ready for Graigue-Ballycallan.”
Clara will be hoping to produce a much-improved performance on Saturday as the Kilkenny Senior League campaign continues.
