Easter events are set to roll out in Carlow and Kilkenny.
The weather’s shaping up to be pretty decent following last night’s winds and the Catholic Church leaders locally have been outlining their messages.
Today, expect everything from bonnets to bayonets with a lot of chocolate in between, not just in private homes but also at organised hunts at points across the two counties.
Added to that in Freshford, MEP Billy Kelleher will read the Proclamation at the annual Easter Rising Commemoration which gets underway on The Square at 11:30am and is due to involve many from the wider community as Cllr MIchael McCarthy’s been outlining to KCLR News’ Edwina Grace;
From 12:30pm there you can swing by the local hall for refreshments and to check out memorabilia.
While in Hacketstown final preparations are underway for the Parade which is off from 3pm;
