Carlow man Finn Lynch is set to go in today’s medal race for the Men’s Dinghy.
He’s currently placed 10th overall in the competition which has seen a raft of races taking place.
Meanwhile, Kellie Harrington is retiring from boxing after defending her Olympic crown.
The Dubliner claimed her second gold medal last night, making her the first Irish female athlete to win consecutive golds.
Taoiseach Simon Harris has described her as ‘a legend’, while President Higgins says Kellie is a ‘phenomenal sportsperson’.
Speaking after the fight the 34 year old says; “I’m done now, like, the next chapter is gonna be my life chapter and who knows what’s that’s gonna be but I can’t wait, I just can’t wait to just life my life”.
