FLAKEY PASTRY FILLED WITH BLACKBERRIES AND APPLE
Ingredients
225g/8oz(1/2 lb) plain flour
160g/6oz hard margarine
½ cup ice cold water
Method
Tarts should be baked at 210C/190C fan-oven/Gas mark 7 for approx 25-30 mins and egg washed before cooking,
Sieve the flour into a bowl and grate in the margarine by dipping the margarine into the flour and then grating. Now flick the margarine around with a palette knife and add the water. Bring together and place in the fridge for 20 mins to relax
This pastry may be used for tarts, mince pies and savoury pies.
