Glanbia pays $217million for US protein bars company

Glanbia is to pay more than 200 million dollars to expand its presence in the protein bars category.

The Kilkenny based food group is buying thinkThin – a US based business that had net sales of 84 million dollars over the past year.

Meanwhile Glanbias Managing Director has collected an Outstanding Achieivement award from the Ireland -US council

Siobhan Talbot collected the prize in New York at the weekend “in recognition of her leadership of Glanbia’s contribution to enhancing the economic relationship between the United States and Ireland.”
