A local Mother’s been outlining her frustration at the delays to the provision of much-needed supports for her children.
Emma Dooley O’Gorman’s youngest son and daughter are deaf with her son also autistic.
Both have cochlear implants, which haven’t been of much use, and though their first language is ISL they need interpreters in school.
Last November she had assurances that a specialist classroom support role would be in place ‘within weeks’ but that has yet to materialise.
She’s now calling on Education Minister Hildegarde Naughton to progress the plans.
