KCLR Breakfast is getting the KCLR Day of Action underway.
The fundraising drive for a number of local charities as part of our Spirit of Christmas campaign sees a special calendar featuring photos snapped by young people across the two counties on sale in aid of the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team.
John Walsh is live from the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel (7-10am) this morning meeting some of the children whose work helped create the 2025 outline.
Added to that we’ve a push on our ask for donations, no matter how small, where possible to the Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre in Kilkenny and St Clare’s Hospitality Kitchen in Graiguecullen, Carlow.
Then just after 10am, the Kilkenny Lions will be in studio for The KCLR Daily with Brian Redmond to reveal the final amount from their 2024 on-air auctions with KCLR and the Kilkenny People as well as other initiatives.
UPDATE (12pm, Friday, 13th December):
Kilkenny Lions have raised €21,000 which will be given to St Vincent de Paul and other organisations who help those in need in the city and county while Carlow Lions are into their last week of fundraising.
