Kilkenny City Traders raise concerns ahead of vote on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan

City Centre retailers are warning of a potential impact on over 1500 jobs in Kilkenny if the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan is given the green light.

Councillors are set to vote this afternoon on the plan which has been designed to meet the mobility needs of people and businesses in and around the city centre and ring road.

Local business owners have been raising concerns about what some of the proposed changes, including a one-way system and reduced on-street parking will mean for them and have made submissions to the authority to that effect.
