Gardaí in Kilkenny are reminding motorists to only park in a disabled parking bay if you have a Blue Badge.
The Disabled Person’s Parking Card allows those displaying it to park up in designated spaces, with fines for those found there without one.
Yesterday, the local team came across one on the city’s High Street and issued the following statement; “No Blue Badge, even when you’re getting a burger!
No sign of legislation for allowing people park in Disabled Parking Bays when they’ve gone for a burger.”
They added “150 Euro makes it a very dear burger. Fries with that?”
And called on all to “Please consider others when wrongfully using a Blue Badge Bay.”
