Big congratulations to Kilkenny City Harrier Pia Langton, who has qualified for the 800-metre semi-finals at the World U20 Championships in Oregon.
Langton finished fourth in her heat to book her place in the next round.

The Kilkenny athlete is also set to compete in the women’s 1,500 metres during the championships.
There is more Kilkenny interest on the Irish team, with Langton’s clubmate Kate Maher selected for Ireland’s women’s 4×400-metre relay team.
