A local Superintendent has insisted that there is an onus on landlords in Carlow to keep a closer eye on their tenants, as Gardai battle an illegal sex trade in the county.
The call comes from Gerry Redmond after it was reported that a brothel was being run in a house in a Carlow Town estate. (You can have reacquaint yourself with that story here!)

Such brothels are very transient with those running them moving quite quickly from house to house.
Superintendent Redmond says this is something that landlords need to be mindful of and to contact Gardaí when they suspect something.
