As locals plan to celebrate Halloween later Gardai are warning of the potential dangers of bonfires and fireworks.
Its always a busy time for the emergency services across Carlow and Kilkenny and tonight is expected to be no different.
Garda Aodhan McHugh says people should remember that aswell as being dangerous fireworks ARE illegal.
