736 new jobs have been created in Carlow and Kilkenny as a result of the 9% vat rate for the hospitality sector.
That’s according to the Restaurants Association of Ireland who claim that the reduction in the rate back in 2011 contributed to 469 Kilkenny jobs and 267 in Carlow.
The organisation has been examining the overall impact the lower rate has had since its introduction.
The report that says 22 thousand 300 new jobs have been created nationally.
