A proposal to help local towns and villages make the most of their heritage sites is being compiled by the Heritage Council of Ireland.
It was announced at a conference held in Kilkenny yesterday which looked at the best ways to realise the potential of Ireland’s towns.
The proposal would see a network of heritage towns and villages established to promote better interaction and support between community groups nationwide.
Speaking to KCLR News, CEO of the Heritage Council, Michael Starrett says he’s positive it can be done.
