New equipment will enhance emergency stroke facilities for St Lukes Hospital

New equipment at St Lukes Hospital will allow doctors to consult from home on stroke patients.

They’ve taken delivery of a new telemedicine device to help with advanced treatment for Stroke.

Dr Rory McGovern a consultant geriatrician at St Lukes says the hospital already delivers a state of the art 24 hour emergency service for the past 8 years.

And he says they deal with hundreds of stroke patients there every year.
