A man has been arrested in Carlow after a disturbance in a petrol station this afternoon.
The incident took place in the Top Oil Filling Station on the Staplestown Road in the town when a man entered and began vandalising the shop by throwing items off shelves.
Carlow Gardaí arrested him at the scene and he remains in custody this evening.
Meanwhile, another man was taken to hospital this afternoon after collapsing close to the Staplestown Road.
The two incidents aren’t believed to be related.
