The South East Technological University (SETU) is contributing more than €1 billion to the Irish economy, according to its newly published Economic and Social Impact report.
The study examined the university’s operations, employment outcomes, social impact, graduate prospects, and the wider effects of its research and innovation activity. It highlights SETU’s expanding role in driving economic growth and supporting communities across the region.
SETU President, Professor Veronica Campbell, welcomed the findings and praised the collective work of staff, researchers and students in delivering such a strong impact.
“What we are achieving in our research and development capabilities through our research centres and our technology gateways, our link globally with research partners and academic partners, so we’re firing on all cylinders and that’s the trajectory we’re on and we’re very excited to be able to put some independent analysis through this report on all that fantastic work” she said.
