Special 1916 medal being presented to local troops this morning

Soldiers from James Stephens Barracks in Kilkenny are getting a special 1916 commemorative medal today.

Its part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme where Defence force personnel are being given the specially commissioned piece at the local barracks now (10 o’clock).

Minister for Defence Paul Kehoe is doing the honours.
