You’re being asked to avoid the Emergency Department in St Luke’s if at all possible.
A statement to KCLR from the hospital today says they are experiencing sustained pressure.
They’re urging you not to attend unless absolutely necessary and to visit your local GP first.
It comes as the latest Trolley figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reports at least 36 people were on trolleys at the local hospital at one point – thats the third highest in the country.
