Storm Emma: Emergency contacts for local authorities and services in Kilkenny and Carlow

As Storm Emma and the Beast From The East prepare to clash over Ireland, emergency services are on stand by.
Kilkenny County Council have an emergency number available on 056 7794145. This service ceases at 1pm on Thursday and resumes at 1pm on Friday. For queries between those hours, please phone 1890 252654.
Carlow County Council are continuing to operate their weather emergency phone service through the night on 059 9170302.
While non-essential clinics and elective procedures have been cancelled for the likes of St. Luke’s General Hospital, University Hospital Waterford and Whitfield Clinic, emergency and acute services continue as normal. In the case of emergency health issues, or for Garda and Fire services, can be contacted phoning 112.

For water emergencies, Irish Water can be reached 24/7 on 1850 278 278. They have also published a guide for frozen and burst pipes.
