Kilkenny County Council is now accepting applications for its 2026 Amenity Grant Scheme, supporting voluntary groups across the city and county.
The scheme aims to improve outdoor community facilities, protect natural built amenities, and enhance local areas.
Eligible projects include biodiversity initiatives, maintenance of parks and open spaces, scenic walks and nature trails, as well as planting pollinator friendly trees and plants.
Grass cutting is partly eligible where pollinator friendly measures are included, in line with the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.
Funding may also cover small equipment and insurance costs and priority will be given to projects offering the greatest community benefit.
Works must not begin until funding is approved and will be inspected before payment is issued.
