Tributes continue for a great GAA and club man after his sudden death
He has been described as a great GAA and family man
Jim was involved with administration within the county board serving as Vice Chairman of Kilkenny Southern Board. He also hurled all his life with Knockmoylan, Ballyhale, Knocktopher, and Piltown.
He was heavily involved as a steward in Nowlan Park which he did for the last time for the Kilkenny versus Wexford National League game.
He was also an umpire with many referees taking him to venues in 26 counties which also included Croke Park. He was the man on the white flag for four Kilkenny Senior hurling finals.
Jim attended his first County Convention, aged 17-year-old back in 1957. He hurled all his life with Knockmoylan, Ballyhale, Knocktopher, and Piltown.
