A number of locals take to their respective fields in Paris today as the Olympics continues.
With one win and one loss, the Irish Women’s Rugby Sevens face Australia at 1:30pm.
The crew includes Johnstown, Kilkenny Native Orlaith Curran as its Head Athletic Performance Coach.
While this morning from 9am the Men’s Hockey team are out, also against Australia – Kilkenny man Jeremy Duncan is among the players with fellow former Kilkenny College student Lisa Jacobs the side’s Performance Director.
There’s also Irish representation in the Canoe Slalom from 2:30pm with Liam Jegou in the Men’s Canoe Single Semi-Final & then in Swimming from 8:25pm when Mona McSharry goes in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke Final.
