Tullow needs improvement in wastewater treatment says EPA report

Tullow is among 38 areas in the country that needs improvement when it comes to wastewater treatment.

That’s according to an EPA report for 2021 which found that just half of Ireland’s sewage is treated to European Union standards

That’s well below the EU average of 90%.

Tullow was the only local treatment plant identified in the report.
