Two people hospitalised following collision near Mullinavat

Two people have been hospitalised following a crash outside Mullinavat this afternoon.

The two-car collision occurred on the R448 Mullinavat to Waterford Road shortly after 2 o’clock.

One person had to be cut from the vehicle but it’s believed none of those involved have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to Waterford University Hospital.

An examination of the scene has been carried out and the road has now been reopened.
