Two people taken to hospital in Kilkenny following crash on M9 in Carlow

Two people were taken to hospital following a crash in Co Carlow last night.

The two-vehicle incident happened on the M9 northbound between Junctions 5 (Tinryland) and 6 (Carlow) at about 8:30pm.

The stretch was closed for a time but has since reopened.

Both of the injured were taken to St Luke’s General Hospital – it’s understood their injuries are non life threatening.
