The Centra Camogie League gets underway this weekend with a busy opening round for local sides, and KCLR will bring live coverage of all the action.
Kilkenny travel to Galway, while Carlow make the long journey north to face Derry. Both fixtures will be broadcast live on KCLR.
Kilkenny begin their league campaign against Galway in Ballinasloe on Saturday afternoon, with throw-in at 2pm. Live coverage of the game will be available on KCLR, thanks to Laharts Garage, Waterford Road, Kilkenny.
Speaking ahead of the opener, Kilkenny manager Jimmy Meagher said the squad is in a positive place following pre-season preparations. He told KCLR’s camogie podcast Camán Caint that the focus over the winter was on building depth and strengthening the panel.
“We were trying to find a couple of players and build a really strong panel heading into the league.
We feel, as a management and backroom team, that we’re in a really good place.
The players have been super to work with, and we’re thrilled to be heading into Galway this weekend and really looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
