Work-to-rule on the cards for nurses and midwives in St Luke’s

A Work-to-Rule is on the cards for nurses and midwives at St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow/Kilkenny.
The INMO is set to ballot nursing staff there in the coming weeks for industrial action over staffing shortages.
The organisation says their members can’t continue to work under the conditions that they are.
This will be the second ballot for industrial action involving the local hospital in a short space of time as this week health staff involved with IMPACT trade union were also balloted, over the job assessment scheme.
INMO General Secretary, Liam Doran told KCLR News, that beds will likely have to close as a result.
