16 dogs and a horse seized in Kilkenny

16 dogs and a horse were seized in Kilkenny yesterday due to welfare concerns.

It was the outcome of a coordinated operation by Gardaí, animal rescue organisations and the county council.

The animals are understood to have been taken from an area close to the city.
