22nd annual Kilkenny Roots Festival to launch later

The 22nd Kilkenny Roots Festival launches today.

There are over 90 events, with more than 40 artists performing across 30-plus venues over the May Bank Holiday weekend this year.

As always there’ll be a mix of festival favourites and some new names as well.

Tonight’s launch takes place in Smithwick’s Experience on Parliament Street from 7.30pm
