3 more by-election candidates to be unveiled later tonight

3 more candidates for the Carlow Kilkenny by-election will be unveiled later.

Fianna Fail members meet in Leighlinbridge tonight to decide who they want to put forward to contest for Phil Hogans empty Dail seat in May.

Carlow Councillor Jennifer Murnane O’ Connor, Kilkenny Councillor Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere and former Carlow-Kilkenny TD Bobby Aylward are the contenders.

Offaly TD Barry Cowen will chair proceedings in the Lord Bagenal from 8pm.

Meanwhile People before Profit candidate Adrienne Wallace will launch her campaign at the Seven Oaks in Carlow later (also at 8pm).

While Conor MacLiam says he will most likely be unveiled as the Anti Austerity Alliance candidate at a meeting in the Clubhouse in Kilkenny tonight.
