30 people waiting on a bed at St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny
20 people are in the local emergency department alone
557 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the Country today.
That figure includes 30 who are in St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny, almost double the number waiting there yesterday.
20 are in the local emergency department with ten on other wards.
It’s as visitor restrictions were imposed at St Luke’s a week ago as it was seeing a high number of patients presenting with Covid19 and complex needs requiring admission.
