4 new council houses are to be constructed in Carlow.
Nationally an extra 1,000 social housing units will be built across 22 local authorities at a cost of 182 million euro.
Kilkenny won’t see any of these new builds but 4 of them will be located in Hackettstown at an estimated cost of €725,000.
