Gardai warn of bogus charity collectors

Gardaí in Kilkenny are urging people to be vigilant to bogus charity collectors on the streets locally.

It follows an incident on High Street in the city last week where a mans wallet was stolen after stopping to give a donation to people collecting on the street.

Speaking on KCLR, Sergeant Ted Hughes says this is becoming a major problem in cities like Kilkenny

And, he’s warning people to be extra cautious when asked to donate money on the streets.
