A Carlow councillor has proposed a group be formed to tackle the issues facing Carlow town centre businesses and others.
Sinn Féin’s Jim Deane wants to set up what he’s calling the “Carlow retail task force” which will include bodies like the Chamber of Commerce, County Council, landlords and business people.
The issue was raised at a council meeting yesterday as rates in the county were discussed with struggling small businesses the focal point.
