Carlow based security firm ‘ Netwatch’ says there was an increase in criminal incidents in County Kilkenny during November – meanwhile, the number of incidents in Carlow was down.
That’s according to the latest report released from the firm.
The number of criminal incidents recorded nationally by Netwatch has fallen by 20% in November. They say its the most significant decrease in the past 6 months.
Kilkenny however is bucking the trend with incidents up by 29%, but in Carlow incidents were down by 16% last month.
Netwatch says midweek has become a dangerous time, with Wednesday the most targeted day of the week.
Although the majority of incidents happen in the evening, the report shows that activity fell sharply in the early morning, particularly between 4 and 5 am.
However, they’re urging businesses, not to become complacent and to remain vigilant coming into the Christmas period.
