Planning has been granted for development works at Kilkenny GAA’s grounds in Dunmore.
It will include the installation of Flood Lights at their grounds adjacent to the N77 in Kilkenny.
The application to Kilkenny County Council was made in August of this year, and permission was granted on the 15th of December.
The works at the venue in Dunmore will see the installation of Flood Lights on the playing field closest to the main road.
There are some conditions however; these include that the developer should carry out the works in a manner that no noise, light pollution, air emissions or odours impact surrounding areas.
And, that the flood lights must never be used after 10pm at night and it should only be used to facilitate training on the site.
Kilkenny County Board has confirmed that the grounds will be leased to Kilkenny GAA for the next 30 years.
