Cops on Donut Shops taking place locally today

Today is your chance to keep a Kilkenny Garda trapped on a roof for the day – and it’s all in the name of charity.

The local fundraising initiative – cops on Donut shops – is now in its 6th year and takes place all day.

The sugary treats from Kelly’s Bakery are on sale at the Town Hall and it’s in aid of Special Olympics Leinster.

Sgt Gary Gordon told KCLR that Kilkenny was the first county to do it, and they raise the most money too.
