Prince Charles could be set to pay a visit to Ireland in the summer.
The possibility has been raised as Paul Smithwick, a member of the Kilkenny Brewing family, has been appointed an OBE in Queen Elizabeth’s new year honours list.
The announcement was made at a black-tie dinner at Smithwick’s brewery visitors centre in Kilkenny last night.
When asked about that possibility of a Royal visit Paul Smithwick told KCLR news he wouldn’t rule it out, and that it was extremely likely to happen next year.
